Is the Sword a good layout for beginners?

Where should I start on the Sword board?

Start at the point and lower blade. The tiles at the tip and along the outer edges of the vertical shaft are free right away, and clearing upward from there exposes the tiles stacked above, keeping a steady stream of matches available.

Why am I stuck with tiles left near the hilt?

The pommel and grip at the very top sit above the crossguard and tend to free up last, so a needed pair can get stranded there. Prioritize matches that open the top cluster as you go. If you are still stuck, press Shuffle to re-deal the remaining tiles into a new solvable layout.

Is every Sword deal solvable?

Yes. Each board is generated by working backwards from a fully solved arrangement, so a complete solution always exists. Flower tiles match any other flower and season tiles match any other season, which gives you extra flexibility while clearing the blade.
